Internet offers business networking potential, expert saysBusinesses are looking to the internet for improved methods of communication with fellow professionals, it has been suggested.More firms are developing working relationships online and the networking format has the potential to evolve, suggested Martin Warner, chief executive of online business networking platform Talkbiznow.com. "There is a lot of room for using the internet platform in order to help facilitate those relationships and provide people with tools that enable them to engage in those relationships," he said. Mr Warner also commented that many forms of business networking are a "highly functional" online resource for enterprises. He added that more firms are now taking a more social networking-type approach to business operations over the internet. This follows statistics from online business community BT Tradespace released in November, which showed that the number of firms using social networking sites for promotional purposes had doubled during the previous six months. ![]() |
