Company announces 100,000 VoIP seatsIt has been announced that a supplier of hosted and trunk-based voice over internet protocol (VoIP) has surpassed 100,000 seats under management.New Global Telecom (NGT) passed the milestone after a year which saw 99.994 per cent network availability in the US. The company credits the increase in traffic with enhancements to its systems and processes to "effectively scale services to meet the demands of its partners". John Fredericksen, general manager of Microsoft Response Point, called NGT a great partner. "Our value-added resellers have benefited from NGT's attention to high quality and their ability to make IP telephony services easy for partners and end users," he said. Martin Bumbernick, chief executive of Alteva, recently told the Technology Marketing Corporation that VoIP and Software-as-a-Service models have become more appealing in the face of the global recession and scrutinised budgets. ![]() |
