Hosting 'offers working women flexibility'
Women working in IT can benefit from hosting technology, according to an expert.
Rob Lovell, chief executive officer of sector solutions specialist ThinkGrid, claims women on maternity can benefit from the flexible working provided by the model.
"With [hosting] it enables people, women at home, women looking after children, or maternity leave
to continue to work much more flexibly then they could any other way," he comments.
Mr Lovell adds that the solution may empower people to continue in their career and contribute to the business remotely.
Hosting also enables both male and female staff who are injured or ill to work from home for two or three days a week while still connecting with the office, the expert concludes.
According to a recent survey by sector analyst Mores, over half of businesses currently have a system in place to monitor the use of virtual machines.
