Hosting 'can improve performance'Businesses adopting hosting technology can benefit from improved performance, according to an expert.The service offers effective assessment of critical business applications which also results in improved security, according to Kerry Bailey, senior vice president of global services at sector specialist Verizon business. "Converged solutions [provide] enterprises with new types of solutions that cut across the fundamental IT areas to strengthen security and application performance," she states. Ms Bailey adds that companies can gain new efficiencies through hosting, while enabling the provider to handle the complexities associated with the model. Virtualisation design services can help organisations to redesign existing IT infrastructure to achieve benefits while retaining a secure environment. Businesses today often face a range of challenges requiring a holistic approach to conducting business, which the model can provide, Ms Bailey concludes.
