Virtualisation 'increasing in popularity'The popularity of virtualised services continues to increase as organisations seek ways of cutting costs, an industry expert claims.Companies under pressure in the current economic climate are turning to outsourced solutions a s a means of reducing overheads, claims training specialist Global Knowledge. The firm, which provides courses on Microsoft networks and operating systems, says the ability to deliver applications and desktops to any user, at anytime is becoming a "core focus" for many firms. Richard Pryor-Jones, president of the company's Europe, Middle East and Africa division, says the benefit of a secure, central location for operations is a key factor in the purchase of virtualised services. "By providing this knowledge we can help companies with the successful deployment of their virtualisation strategies," he comments. The expert concludes that there continues to be a huge growth in the purchase of focused, in-depth virtualisation training by experts in real-world environments. ![]() |
