Hosting provider updates data centre

A US outsourcing specialist has upgraded one of its data centres as part of a $6 million (£4.2 million) operation.

IT infrastructure specialist Hosted Solutions has enhanced its data centre in Boston, Massachusetts in an effort to expand services in the New England region.

The company, which offers enterprise storage for increased operational efficiency, has made improvements to its infrastructure and back-up power services and increased staff numbers at the facility.

Mike Lee, regional manager at the firm, says companies recognise the value of having an outsourcing partner which can meet their requirements.

"We excel at delivering complex IT solutions to small and mid-sized enterprises which, combined with our 'hi-touch' approach, gives our clients peace of mind," he comments.

The new data centre will also benefit from managed replication, disaster recovery and video surveillance technology to provide organisations with IT services across all areas, rather than simply data centre space, the expert concludes.
