New industry courses unveiled by APC

IT cooling expert APC by Schneider Electric has revealed new classroom-led courses as part of its Data Center University program.

The new courses are designed to provide industry professionals with opportunities to solve real-world problems and enhance their industry credentials.

Attendees will be taught current theories and best practices in mission-critical areas, encompassing cooling, cabling, power, monitoring and management.

Chief marketing officer Aaron Davis says the facility can now provide tuition in a personal format.

"In the difficult and ever-changing environment in which today's data centres operate … never has there been a greater demand for training and education in our industry," he explains.

Mr Davis concludes that resultant demand for development has been placed on IT, facilities, engineering, design and consultant professionals.

The company recently announced a software integration initiative that will enable its data centre management suite to couple with Microsoft's System Centre Operations Manager 2007, enabling employers to view and manage physical infrastructure.
