Titus launches security product for Sharepoint

Document classification specialist Titus Labs has revealed a new protection product for the Microsoft Office SharePoint platform.

The company's Metadata Security application is designed to offer an additional level of security for organisations using Sharepoint document libraries.

According to the firm, the new product enables administrators to restrict access to certain users and protect any file.

Teresa Carlson, vice president of Microsoft US Federal Sales, says organisations operating in mission-critical environments can use the security application to benefit from enhanced records management.

Charlie Pulfer, vice president of product management at Titus Labs, comments: "Administrators no longer need to define access rights for every document and can easily ensure the right documents become available to the right people."

Titus Labs made the announcement at the annual RSA Conference 2009 at San Francisco's Mocone Center, which brings together global experts in information security for keynote speeches, breakout sessions and tutorials in computer protection.
