SharePoint Solutions releases data zoom toolSoftware developer SharePoint Solutions has released a new tool which provides data view functionality without using SharePoint Designer.The company claims the new Data Zoom Web Part (DZWP) allows users to easily build dynamic, data-driven content on any page and perform powerful, flexible queries on a variety of data sources. Managing director of the company's Commercial Software Division, Tony Bierman, says the DZWP is a "must-have" tool for developers or information workers responsible for delivering data inside a SharePoint site. "The SharePoint Data Zoom Web Part uses NVelocity's unique template engine and an intuitive source editor to make the process of creating and maintaining site content a breeze," he comments. According to the company, the tool uses simple syntax which can be used to create SharePoint applications quickly. The company also produces the Extranet Collaboration Manager for SharePoint, which formerly received the winner of the Editor's Best Award from Penton Media's Windows IT Pro.
