Adeptol releases SharePoint viewer

Universal document viewer provider Adeptol has unveiled the latest add-on for use with Microsoft SharePoint.

The company's AJAXDocumentViewer now has a range of features which allow users to view documents, images and other file formats with SharePoint straight out of the box.

According to the firm, the product is a 'zero footprint' viewer which does not require any additional software to be installed.

The AJAXDocumentViewer software also operates without the need for plugins or activex controls to be installed on end users' machines.

Documents within a SharePoint library or those being processed as part of the application's workflows can be viewed, with over 200 types being supported, the organisation states.

The new application also enables an unlimited number of users to gain access simultaneously, as it is based on a multiple tenancy concept for enhanced speed.

Software developer SharePoint Solutions also recently released the new Data Zoom Web Part tool, which enables users to build data-driven content without using SharePoint Designer.
