ECRI selects LearningServer for SharePoint

Healthcare organisation the ECRI Institute has selected the IntraLearn Software Corporation (ISC) to provide its LearningServer for SharePoint platform.

The company, which is based in Northborough, Massachusetts, will use the elearning application to catalogue its wide range of courses.

ECRI provides education and training for physicians, nurses and other allied professionals and therefore needed a system which could deliver reliable results, says Anthony Montagnolo, chief operating officer at the company.

He explains: "LearningServer for SharePoint has enabled us to quickly enter an important and competitive market at a reasonable cost."

The platform will also be used to track continuing education credits for each individual course and student, Mr Montagnolo adds.

Evan Lenson, vice president of business development at ISC, says the LearningServer gives ECRI a system which works within its existing SharePoint environment.

Founded in 1994, the company also integrates HTML and flash-based courses, facilitating peer-to-peer interaction, distributing and recording into all it products.
