Deloitte awarded top honours

Global consultancy firm Deloitte has been awarded a number of top honours at the recent MCA Management Awards 2009.

The company was praised for its work with Unilever in Brazil and Chile for the delivery of hosted exchange systems management and financial services, with the company deploying a team of experts to South America to help Unilever in its negotiations with local businesses.

David Owen, head of Deloitte's consulting practice, said: "I'm very proud of all the hard work put in by the teams involved, it is a huge achievement. Above all, the awards prove that Deloitte knows how to support its clients in some very challenging markets."

Meanwhile, beauty wellness specialist Amway recently announced that it has extended its outsourcing contract with IBM for a further three years.

The firm makes use of hosted exchange services from IBM to handle up 15,000 orders per day, with the new contract being valued at approximately €3.2 million (£2.87 million).
