Companies 'continue to embrace SaaS'Businesses are continuing to embrace Software as a Service (SaaS) as a way of controlling costs and improving data management efficiency.Roger Strain wrote in his blog for Bizcommunity.com that due to increases in global bandwidth over the last few years, the uptake of SaaS now offers businesses a viable alternative to up-front set up costs for installing software systems. He noted that collaboration SaaS offers significant cost saving benefits as companies are able to lease software and hardware from vendors rather than paying for this installation themselves, a benefit which is attractive to many during this period of economic downturn. Meanwhile, Tony Neate, managing director at Get Safe Online, recently commented that firms should look to restore data quickly in the event of a crisis and SaaS can be a powerful tool in achieving this. He noted that by embracing SaaS businesses can reduce the threat of outages and virus attacks crippling their data management abilities for the long term. ![]() |
