Hosted Sharepoint marketing deal agreedA pair of leading Microsoft Sharepoint partners have come together to help provide data deduplication services for Microsoft Hosted Sharepoint users.Idera Software and FalconStor have joined forces and developed a new sales and marketing partnership to help reduce data storage costs for firms. The end-to-end data backup solution being offered by the pair provides security for firms' information and also allows businesses to increase their storage capacity by deleting redundant and non-unique data. "FalconStor FDS extends data deduplication benefits to SharePoint users, giving them a potent backup and restore as well as a cost-effective disaster recovery solution for SharePoint deployments," commented Bernie Wu, FalconStor vice-president of business development. Idera Products was recently nominated as a finalist in the Best of TechEd 2009 Awards by Penton Media's Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazines. The company was honoured for its contribution to the development of a new toolset for Microsoft Office Sharepoint.
