Microsoft hosted Sharepoint 2010 in the pipeline for releaseSoftware developer Microsoft is in the process of developing a number of new programs which are to be released in 2009 and early 2010.Among these developments is the new Hosted Sharepoint 2010 software, which many businesses are eagerly awaiting in order to boost their hosted exchange efficiency and to make the handling of growing data management responsibilities a less daunting task. PC World has therefore urged businesses to plan now as to how best to incorporate these new systems in company infrastructure. Karen Hobert, principal analyst at Top Dog consulting, commented: "When the dust settles, people may strategise around all this and figure out how to balance cost with operational innovation." Meanwhile, the software requirements for Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 were recently released by the firm. It noted that all systems must be 64-bit compatible, with a particular need for 64-bit Windows Server 2008 or 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2 to be installed in order to run the software. ![]() |
