Microsoft Hosted Sharepoint 'offers improved process management for firms'Enterprise content management (ECM) could be boosted for firms which embrace Microsoft Hosted Sharepoint, it has been claimed.Bjorn Furuknap, editor and author of Understanding Sharepoint Journal, said that Sharepoint can provide a more effective and responsive ECM set up for firms. The automated business processes offered by Sharepoint could "reap huge benefits" for companies which embrace this technology as soon as possible, Mr Furuknap noted, as it allows organisations to react more quickly and to boost productivity. He commented: "The single most important factor in return on investment for a SharePoint installation is improved content and business process management." According to Network World, Microsoft is now set to launch an invitation-only SharePoint Server 2010 beta test in July for a select group of its clients. The test will allow the company to iron out any problems with the software prior to its public beta test-launch in the first half of next year. ![]() |
