Sharepoint 'adds business value'Microsoft hosted Sharepoint can add value to a business, according to the company.Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS) 2007 could help businesses of all sizes manage their information more effectively, the software producer has argued. The software can be used across the most crucial parts of company infrastructure and can collect and collate data from separate areas to make the management of business processes both more streamlined and straightforward. A spokesperson for Microsoft commented: "Businesses of all sizes are realising the value that Sharepoint can bring to their organisations - especially in these tough economic times." The representative added that MOSS is critical to the organisation of enterprise search, content management, business intelligence, collaboration and portals. Furthermore, the most popular web content management trends of 2008 were recently highlighted by portal software provider Softcore. The firm noted that the growth of e-commerce, portal and public website integration and increased integration of Web 2.0 were all shown to be high on the agenda for companies. ![]() |
