Sharepoint 'boosted through hosted exchange expertise'

The use of Microsoft Hosted Sharepoint by firms across the UK can be boosted by businesses embracing hosted exchange services, it has been claimed.

Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Genesis Communications, said that professionals working for outsourced hosted exchange companies are able to pass on their expertise and knowledge of using Sharepoint in a regular basis to aid companies in training their staff in the use of the software.

The benefits of this can include improved worker understanding of the processes involved in getting the best from Sharepoint to boost productivity.

He commented: "In today's fast moving marketplace it is essential that employees have instant access to their company information."

According to research compiled by computer and telecommunications industry research firm the Radicati Group, the number of hosted mailboxes in operation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa is expected to rise from 398 million in 2009 to 564 million by 2013.
