Businesses 'continue to turn to SaaS'Software as a Service (SaaS) is continuing to prove popular with businesses looking to improve their IT infrastructure for limited cost, it has been claimed.More firms are turning to SaaS as the technology enables small to medium-sized businesses to have access to technologies and IT equipment that would normally be out of their price range, according to Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Genesis Communications. He commented: "Part of this system involves providing highly sophisticated security with advanced intrusion detection. These systems are expensive and are out of reach of companies putting in solutions directly at their premises." Therefore, smaller firms are continuing to witness the benefits of SaaS, he said. According to CRN, IT managers across the UK are embracing the one-size-fits-all approach of SaaS and the industry has witnessed an acceleration in the uptake of this form of hosted exchange delivery in recent months as more firms have looked to tighten IT spending. ![]() |
