Online data storage 'improves backup'

Online data storage has become an increasingly popular move for chief information officers and IT managers, it has been revealed.

Moving data storage online delivers a number of benefits, most noticeably a reduction in expenditure as the cost of internet storage declines, Online Tech noted.

Furthermore, online data storage provides continued data archiving and backup, which could improve the efficiency of operations.

Another cost-effective option which a company may choose is Microsoft Hosted Sharepoint, which is flexible enough to meet the changing data storage needs of businesses, Microsoft said.
