DR implementation 'sees firm running at full'A firm with London offices which were destroyed in a recent fire have managed to run operations with minimal disruption, it has been claimed.Chief executive officer of Future Capital Partners Tim Levy said the firm is fully operational after disaster recovery (DR) plans were implemented. The company is currently looking for new premises but reported that all of its staff were evacuated safely. Mr Levy stated that because of the "commitment of our staff and the excellent implementation of our comprehensive DR plans, we were already fully operational with minimal impact on our business as of Monday July 13th". The blaze occurred on Friday. Firms should remember that when IT changes are made, DR plans need updating, the In Technology blog on ZDNet noted. Businesses may also want to adopt Microsoft Hosted Exchange, which could boost data backup and DR. Hosted Exchange could prove to be of assistance to enterprises without the human resources and time to fully contribute to DR. ![]() |
