Remote working 'helps SMBs thrive'
Small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across the UK could significantly benefit from setting up remote working practices, it has been claimed.
Andrew Millard, director of e-commerce for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at GoToMyPC, said the benefits of flexible working far outweigh the challenges, as it enable a business to improve disaster recovery readiness, while at the same time creating a more loyal and content workforce.
He commented: "For some SMBs, the introduction of flexible working policies can be challenging, but those businesses that deploy flexible working and home working can thrive."
According to research carried out by YouGov and commissioned by Citrix Online, 62 per cent of commuters want to reduce time spent travelling to and from work.
Indeed, the most popular solutions included home working (34 per cent), using technology to enable flexible and remote working (32 per cent) and varying start and finish times (22 per cent).
