Advantages of data recovery planning highlighted

Businesses have been advised of the many advantages which effective data recovery planning can bring.

Sourabh Rana wrote in a blog post for Silicon India that companies could benefit from superior services as a result of improved technologies and reliability.

In addition, companies with a strong disaster recovery plan in place could see competitive benefits, as it could provide a firm with bragging rights and boost its reputation.

He noted: "If you do not make a disaster recovery plan and you come across data loss situations, data recovery software and service solutions may help you to get your valuable data back."

Elsewhere, Lora Bentley of Kroll OnTrack recently said businesses which suffer a crisis and lose information should not attempt to carry out DIY fixes on IT infrastructure and should instead leave the job to professionals, as tampering with systems could make it harder for recovery experts to do their job.
