Server upgrades explainedThe Microsoft Dynamics Customer Research Management (CRM) Team blog has highlighted the process companies should take when carrying out server upgrades. It noted there are four main steps that need to be taken - preparing to upgrade, establishing a testing environment, upgrading and validating and final production. The blog stated that during the first three phases of deployment, a specific test area should be created where all upgrades can be implemented, monitored and studied before these services are rolled out to a firm's entire IT infrastructure in stage four. Elsewhere, Business Link adviser James Cope recently said CRM systems enable businesses to standardise contact with clients and this can help improve efficiency and reputation. He commented: "CRM systems don't have to be expensive. Yes, there are big expensive ones, but there are open source CRM that you can get that are free and just need a bit of customisation." ![]() |
