Companies advised on server risks this XmasFirms across the UK have been warned to have effective disaster recovery plans in place this Christmas, or face a new year of IT chaos if anything should go wrong during the holiday period.David Boyd, senior consultant at GlassHouse Technologies, told IT Pro Portal that it is imperative businesses have in place comprehensive data recovery systems to help avoid costly downtime over Christmas. He commented: "It is likely that Christmas will pass without incident and everyone will return to work refreshed from the break. Elsewhere, Jim Elkin, a consultant at Analysys Mason, recently said the new year is likely to see a number of upgrades taking place within business IT infrastructure.
