Microsoft Dynamics users 'should use membercount'The Microsoft Dynamics membercount schemata is a useful tool when predicting the impact of marketing activities, according to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team Blog.Writing for the team's online journal, Microsoft Dynamics user Jerry Weinstock explains that he formerly totalled the impact of changing marketing plans manually. He notes that, with membercount, it is possible to count active members on a list when a form is opened. This means members associated with the list, but whose record has been deactivated for the relevant purpose, are not included in the total. However, the total is static and only updated when the form is opened, meaning the On Load event must be fired in order to revise the integer value. Mr Weinstock adds that he previously went through each screen of the relevant form manually, multiplying the number of pages by the number of records to manually reach the same total. Joel Lindstrom, a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 'MVP', recently blogged of the importance of development and quality assurance versions of Microsoft Dynamics deployments, both for testing and as a backup to bolster disaster recovery preparations. ![]() |
