Cloud 'to solve IT burdens'Hosted exchange solutions such as cloud computing could help businesses improve their data management in 2010, it has been claimed.Rob Lovell, chief executive officer at ThinkGrid, said more companies look set to embrace the technology as it provides the ability to streamline data management choices and reduce the burden of IT infrastructure decision making. He commented: "Most businesses are running pretty lean at the moment, with responsibility for IT often falling to the person in the office who has shown they understand it the best." Elsewhere, CNET recently forecast 2010 will be the year in which start-up companies in the cloud computing sector will begin to make their mark. It stated both large and small will begin experimenting with cloud computing infrastructures over the coming 12 months and innovation in the sector will be focused less on the technical side of things and more on the enterprise and business level. ![]() |
