Data protection 'boosted with IPsec VPNs'Firms must remember to have continuous data protection in place at all times to ensure they do not fall foul of data loss issues, it has been claimed.Business Solutions reported employing IPsec VPNs could have a beneficial effect on data security. The publication noted in a white paper entitled A Smarter Approach To Protecting Data In Motion IP-based networks could take a smarter approach to data security by following best practice and setting up data in motion protection measures. Elsewhere, Computer Weekly recently reported the number of UK businesses that have created an inventory of their information assets was found to be four per cent below the global average, according to a new survey by Ernst & Young "This raises a warning flag because despite the overall rosy picture, relatively few organisations are drawing up lists of their information assets," said Seamus Reilly, a director in the IT risk and assurance department at Ernst & Young. ![]() |
