Google launches cloud Apps
Google has launched a range of new apps that could help the company boost its number of registered cloud computing users.
The online search provider has created apps for email, calendaring, chat, word processing, spreadsheets and many other functions.
However, its newest release will see the company extend the services it offers to include customer research management, fax, enterprise retail planning, as well as free tools and templates for web synchronisation, project management and for organising travel plans
Elsewhere, Nic Newman, head of strategy and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa operations at TigerSpike, recently told attendees at the UC Expo that firms and their employees could communicate better through the use of mobile apps.
"[Mobile apps] let us communicate comfortably what we feel about the organisation and it gets dealt with in a way we know that people will pay attention to," he commented.
