Collaboration software 'could help firms communicate'Collaborative software could make flexible working and business communications that much more palatable for firms, it has been claimed.Kunal Contractor, commercial manager at Huddle, said companies could benefit from embracing flexible working as it could improve productivity and the business' ability to remain flexible in a crisis and all this can be achieved through the use of collaboration software that provides communication and access to company records outside of the office environment. He commented: "Sometimes the main business driver is an internally facing tool to increase the productivity and efficiency of their own staff." Mr Contractor added ensuring staff are trained and able to cope when working outside the office would be a step towards greater autonomous working and productivity increases. According to a recent survey by Lumison, company culture is the biggest single obstacle to remote and flexible working. It found that 50 per cent of the office workers surveyed said that their bosses remain sceptical about whether people are really working if they are not in the office. ![]() |
