Standing room only at Microsoft SharePoint sessions

The Microsoft SharePoint sessions at the recent AIIM Expo in Philadelphia were standing room only events, according to one of the show's organisers.

Beth Torrey, event director for the info360 part of the conference, says that the keynote address and general sessions on the itinerary typically exceeded their seated capacity.

"Our conference programme - which included the SharePoint 2010 Summit at AIIM Expo, supported by Microsoft - was very well attended," she says.

"Many of our exhibitors reported having very successful shows," Ms Torrey adds.
In all, more than 24,000 professionals from across the technology industry attended the event.

The Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Summit allowed many of these to experience an immersive view of the collaboration platform at a special technology lab on the exhibition floor.

Experts from Microsoft - including members of the teams that built SharePoint -
were also present to share their knowledge of how the software functions.
