Secure data storage 'is key'Businesses have been advised that ensuring data security is absolute in their IT infrastructure should be a key concern at all times.David Tripier, chief marketing officer for IronKey, said that enterprise level security is key to organisations of all sizes and across a range of fields, including from state-owned agencies such as the US Federal Reserve, through to educational establishments and businesses. He commented: "If you consider this like a trusted group, a group of trust, it's so important to have a base that is an encrypted, highly secure, ruggedised platform." According to Symantec, the Downadup botnet has presently infected 6.5 million computers around the world and poses a growing threat to information security as a result. The firm stated broadband infrastructures in countries such as Brazil, India, Poland, Vietnam and Russia have all been compromised by the malware. ![]() |
