Cloud computing interest 'seen among SMBs'Small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) are showing a growing interest in cloud computing, although many do not fully understand the technology, it has been revealed.Research carried out by Verio has shown that 30 per cent of SMB decision makers would implement this technology during the coming year, while 72 percent of respondents said they now know the same, or even less, than they did last year about cloud computing solutions, the Web Host Industry Review reports. Industry expert David Hamilton wrote: "SMBs would like to benefit from shared and on-demand resources, yet few understand the benefits of cloud-based solutions." Elsewhere, the New Brunswick Business Journal recently reported that the rising popularity of cloud computing is helping to provide greater opportunities for business growth. The publication argued that cloud services are available everywhere that has an internet connection, enabling much greater flexibility for workers. ![]() |
