Risk management solutions 'can boost data quality'Companies could improve their data quality by undertaking an enterprise-wide approach to risk management, one IT professional has argued.According to Daragh O'Brien, a member of the International Association for Information and Data Quality and its former director of publicity, putting in place a broad system to manage risk in all areas of a business should help make data breaches and problems less frequent and detrimental to long-term business continuity. He commented: "If operations were simplified and an enterprise-wide approach to managing critical information assets were implemented, we would see increased transparency." The Institute of International Finance stated that systemic risk is a complex, fast-moving and unpredictable issue and addressing it requires the combination of enhanced regulation, sound industry practices, strong supervision and efficiently functioning markets. ![]() |
