Data dissemination 'key for business'Providing data for use by workers should be the aim of all high-quality IT infrastructure and in order to make this successful, these systems should be open to use by all with authorisation.Conrad Wolfram, co-founder and strategic director of Wolfram Research, said that if companies really want to democratise their data, then they must ensure that it is "open and usable". He commented: "With computational knowledge we're trying to get the automation to have the computer process those results and make them personal for you." The London Computational Knowledge Summit recently sought to inform attendees of how advances in computational technology are unlocking knowledge assets and shaping the future. It was held on June 9th at the Royal Institution and the majority of the speakers had a strong association with Wolfram Research or were otherwise concerned with computational knowledge issues. ![]() |
