Sharing content 'main role of iPad'Apple's iPad is being used by companies in order to boost data sharing, it has been claimed.Stuart Miles, owner and editor of Pocket-lint, said the device is less likely to be used for personal use but could become a major part of IT infrastructure to aid in presentations and file sharing among employees. "Where an iPad or a tablet device come in is that it is a personal device that enables you to do your job and a public device that allows you to embrace your job and get others to get involved too," he commented According to figures from Apple, sales of the iPad topped two million in the first 60 days after its launch. Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK were the first countries outside the US to have access to the product in May, with a further nine set to see its launch in July. ![]() |
